耶利米書 10:23-24

23耶 和 華 啊 ， 我 曉 得 人 的 道 路 不 由 自 己 ， 行 路 的 人 也 不 能 定 自 己 的 腳 步 。

24耶 和 華 啊 ， 求 你 從 寬 懲 治 我 ， 不 要 在 你 的 怒 中 懲 治 我 ， 恐 怕 使 我 歸 於 無 有 。

23I know, O Lord, that a man’s life is not his own;

it is not for man to direct his steps.

24Correct me, Lord, but only with justice—

not in your anger,

lest you reduce me to nothing.
